Hybrid accessory

The project is based on the role of firefighters in society, creating a “hybrid” accessory that combines different functions to generate a new, multifunctional piece with an ambiguous identity. It takes inspiration from the concept of “chaotic protection,” rooted in the structure, vocation, and disorientation associated with firefighters, which is reflected in the accessory through various design operations. The design emphasizes asymmetry, bodily pressure, and the creation of folds and gathers. Typological interventions involving fusion and reinterpretation are used to highlight the themes of chaos, protection, and adaptability to changing situations.

Transformations are conceived through the lens of protection and chaos, altering the position and structure of the accessory in contrast to conventional forms. The aim is to give it multiple meanings—inviting confusion and disruption—resulting in a sense of controlled chaos.
